Artist and nobleman of Ladonia, Mikael Varela has made research work about the Ladonia Anthem. The basic national anthem, Throwing a Stone into Water. Lord Mikael has found an interesting connection between Ladonia Anthem and art. The artist Gilly Hatch has made a picture of the sensitive moment when the stone is released into the water, probably without knowing the grandeur of this moment.

I am pleased to see this print here, and yes, I certainly do know “…the grandeur of this moment”! I am an obsessive stone skipper, walking along the water,always on the lookout for the perfect stone. I collect them, and when I have enough, I set them off to fly across the water. This etching shows that moment when, with luck, and skill, I may have got it “right”, and a perfct sequence of diminishing splashes may result.
