Karen Rosenberg, art critic, writes in New York Times about the exhibition at Apexart in New York. But she has got most things wrong:
“The most bizarre is Lars Vilks’s Republic of Ladonia, a square meter of land designated by Mr. Vilks as an independent nation in response to a dispute with the Swedish government over the location of one of his sculptures.”
If you look at the picture below from the exhibition you can see the map of Ladonia. One square meter! Ladonia, which is a Remony and not a Republic, is at least 1 square km. Then we don’t count our colonies within the border of US. Yes, there was a war between the countries, and, yes, it was successful for Ladonia. But dear Ms. Rosenberg, that is all forgotten now. Ladonia and the US are the best of friends, peace, and again peace is the connection between these nations.
