Our Minister of Harley-Davidson Motorbikes C-J Charpentier is not only an author who has published many books. He also speaks many languages, among them Farsi (old Persian). How is this possible? The Minister answers:
“I was brought up quadri-lingual, and learnt Italian as a young boy in Italy. As an adult I studied farsi, turkish, arabic and hindi. After that I lived several years in Afghanistan where I got some of the farsi dialects.
I use at least five languages daily, when reading and talking to people. Arabic gave me most troubles, and that language is today somewhat latent. Otherwise they all work…”
