Ladonia launches downloadable National Holiday Calendar

"Never Forget Duct Tape Day Again!"

WOTAN CITY, Ladonia — In a move to help citizens and supporters worldwide keep track of Ladonia’s unique celebrations, the Royal Republic of Ladonia has released a downloadable calendar file containing all national holidays. The .ics file, compatible with most digital calendars, is now available in multiple languages and can be found on the official Ladonia website.

Among the standout holidays included in the calendar is Duct Tape Day — a cherished event that has now been made easier than ever to remember. Once downloaded, the file can be imported into your digital calendar, ensuring that smartphones and other devices will automatically remind you of important holidays and celebrations throughout the year.

“This initiative was designed to make it simple for Ladonians across the world to stay connected with the nation’s traditions,” said Max Hogg, Assistant to the Minister of Information. “Whether you’re celebrating Duct Tape Day or honoring Nimis, your smartphone will make sure you never miss an occasion.”

The calendar includes key dates such as:

  • Founding Day (June 2): Celebrating the establishment of Ladonia in 1996.
  • Nimis Day (July 31): Honoring the creation of the famous driftwood sculpture by Lars Vilks.
  • Arx Day (September 15): A day dedicated to the stone book structure of Arx and its many authors.
  • Duct Tape Day (October 22): A tribute to the versatility and necessity of duct tape in Ladonian culture.

Available in English, Swedish, German, French, and other languages, the calendar is meant to engage Ladonia’s nearly 30,000 global citizens. The project, spearheaded by the Ministry of Information, reflects the growing interest in Ladonian culture and ensures that anyone, anywhere, can easily participate in Ladonia’s unique festivities.

The downloadable .ics file can be found in the “National Holidays” section of the official Ladonia website at www.ladonia.org/ladonian-calendar/. Additional information about each holiday, including its history and significance, is also available on the site.

With this new feature, the government hopes to make it easier than ever to stay in touch with the nation’s rich history and cultural events. Whether it’s Nimis Day or the whimsical Duct Tape Day, you’ll never miss a celebration again!
