New Entry-Level Noble Tier Introduced Amid Updates to Ladonia’s Peerage

OAKWOOD HOUSE — In response to growing interest in Ladonia’s nobility and the need for expanded preservation efforts, a new entry-level noble tier has been introduced: Lords and Ladies. This tier provides an accessible way for supporters to join Ladonia’s noble ranks while contributing to vital restoration projects.

The announcement was made by Erik White, Duke of Southmoor, Ladonia’s Home Minister, who emphasized the importance of these updates for sustaining the nation’s cultural and artistic legacy.

“This is a significant step in ensuring that everyone who wishes to support Ladonia’s mission has the opportunity to do so,” said the Duke of Southmoor. “At the same time, these contributions enable us to fund the preservation of Nimis and other critical cultural initiatives.”

As with all noble titles in Ladonia, every recipient of a title receives an official Letters Patent, printed on high-quality parchment paper, embossed with the Great Seal of Ladonia, and hand-signed by the Queen. In addition, their name will be included on Ladonia’s official website as a noble citizen and supporter, among other benefits exclusive to the nobility. These honors symbolize the recipient’s commitment to Ladonia’s mission and their place in its noble tradition.

The updated noble tiers also reflect the increasing costs of preserving Nimis, maintaining Ladonia’s online infrastructure, and covering rising postage expenses. Damage to Nimis over the past two years has necessitated a major restoration project, estimated to cost $150,000.

“We are deeply committed to ensuring that Nimis endures for generations to come,” the Duke added. “Every contribution, whether through a title or another form of support, helps sustain this extraordinary landmark and the unique culture of Ladonia.”

The updated contribution levels, effective January 1, 2025, are as follows:

  • Lords and Ladies: $30 (new tier)
  • Barons and Baronesses: $75
  • Viscounts and Viscountesses: $150
  • Counts and Countesses: $250

The discretionary titles of Dukes and Duchesses remain unchanged, awarded at the Queen’s discretion for extraordinary contributions or service.

“These updates are an essential part of Ladonia’s efforts to preserve its cultural identity and artistic heritage,” the Duke of Southmoor concluded. “We are grateful for the dedication and generosity of all those who contribute to this mission.”
