Theresa Villeneuve Sworn in as Ladonian Prime Minister

WOTAN CITY, Lad. – The Royal Republic of Ladonia celebrated a pivotal moment in its governance as The Honourable Theresa Villeneuve was officially introduced as the new Prime Minister during the Ceremony of Introduction on New Year’s Day. The announcement was made by His Grace, Erik, Duke of Southmoor and Minister for Home Affairs.

The ceremony, conducted at the direction of Her Majesty Queen Carolyn I, was presided over by His Grace Duke Bertjens, who also serves as Ladonia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs. Temporarily appointed Lord Great Chamberlain for this occasion, Duke Bertjens performed the ceremonial duties, including reading the Letters Patent issued by the Queen to formally appoint Theresa Villeneuve as Prime Minister of Ladonia.

In the Letters Patent, Her Majesty declared that Prime Minister Villeneuve, nominated by the Cabinet of Ministers, would serve as Prime Minister of Ladonia and Chief Minister of the State Council from January 1, 2025, until December 31, 2027, or the duration of the Queen’s Pleasure. The document was signed and entered into effect at Oakwood House on December 17, 2024.

A Leader with Vision and Experience

Theresa Villeneuve, Ladonia’s new Prime Minister, brings a rich background of diplomatic service and academic leadership to her role. Beginning her career as a Consul in 2020, she quickly rose through the ranks, earning a promotion to Ambassador in 2023 after excelling in the Ambassador exam. Her tenure has been marked by tireless advocacy for Ladonia on the global stage, including her contributions at Micronational conferences like MicroCon Ypres 2023.

In addition to her diplomatic accomplishments, Villeneuve is a university professor and mentor, deeply committed to fostering the next generation of leaders. Her passion for education, strategic thinking as an avid poker enthusiast, and her dedication to Ladonia’s values have earned her respect across the nation.

Villeneuve’s vision for Ladonia focuses on strengthening international partnerships, advancing education and innovation, and fostering inclusivity.
