LADONIA, 2 June 2026 — On the occasion of Ladonia’s National Day and the 30th Anniversary of the Founding of the Royal Republic, His Grace Erik, Duke of Southmoor, KH, SC, formally renewed his oath of fealty to Her Majesty Queen Carolyn I.
The declaration was issued on 2 June 2026, a date marking not only three decades since the founding of Ladonia, but also the fifteenth anniversary of the accession of Her Majesty to the throne.
In a statement released to coincide with the national celebrations, the Duke reaffirmed his loyalty and service to the Crown, invoking the traditional language of fealty sworn by nobles to their sovereign.
“I, Erik, Duke of Southmoor here swear that I am Her Majesty’s liege man of life and limb and earthly worship,” the Duke declared. “Fidelity and honor I will bear unto Her to live and die for Her against all manner of foe.”
The oath continued with a pledge to defend the validity of that sworn allegiance against any challenge, concluding with the traditional acclamations, “God Save the Queen” and “God Save Ladonia.”
The renewal of fealty on National Day carries particular symbolic significance during this jubilee year. The 2025–2026 period has marked both the Crystal Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Carolyn I and the 30th anniversary of Ladonia’s declaration of independence. Throughout the year, citizens and nobles alike have commemorated the enduring institutions of the Royal Republic and reflected upon the nation’s unique history and traditions.
By publicly renewing his oath on this historic anniversary, the Duke of Southmoor joins in honoring both the Crown and the nation on one of the most significant dates in the Ladonian calendar.
