Ladonia Voices: From Small Stages to Touring Choirs
In the first of a new series, Ladonia Voices, the Ladonia Herald will bring forward reflections and experiences shared by Ladonian citizens across the global diaspora. Our first featured citizen is Citizen Arijana Nešković of Kanjiža, Serbia, who has shared reflections on theatre, music, and cultural life in northern Serbia and Hungary.

In a series of Facebook posts shared with fellow citizens in the official FB group, Nešković described her participation in local theatrical productions, dance projects, and musical ensembles across the region, including performances in Novi Sad, Subotica, and her home town of Kanjiža.
She noted that her engagement with the arts began early, through music and theatre at the local level, and has continued through involvement in community-based performances and choirs. These activities, she observed, often take place on small stages and in familiar venues, creating close connections between performers and local audiences.
“Ladonia is small, but many small people can do small things and change the world. Creativity and participation at the local level still matter.”
— Citizen Arijana Nešković
These reflections echo themes familiar within Ladonia’s international community, where artistic expression and grassroots cultural activity continue to play a central role in civic and creative life.
A Nomadic Nation, A Shared Space
While Ladonia’s citizens are dispersed across countries and continents, much of the Nation’s day-to-day interaction and community life takes place online. The official Ladonia Citizens Facebook Group serves as a shared space where citizens exchange news, creative work, and reflections from their local contexts, helping to sustain a sense of community despite Ladonia’s intentionally nomadic character.
